Man In Custody For Parrottsville Area Thefts
A Greene County man is in jail in Cocke County today. Investigators with the Cocke County Sheriff’s office say that Flemon Franklin McNutt is responsible for a series of thefts in the Parrottsville area between June 10 and July 16. The thefts all revolved around similar equipment, including lawn care equipment. McNutt was entered into NCIC, a national crime database, and was spotted in Tazwell County, Virginia on July 26. He was then taken into custody by Tazwell County authorities. McNutt was extradited back to Cocke County on Wednesday and is now in custody at the Cocke County jail. He is being held on a $50,000.00 bond with theft charges and burglary charges. No further details have been released at this time.
