Man threatens Newport Car Dealership
A man on Monday threatened to shoot up a Newport car dealership. Management at Stinnett Chevrolet stated that 62 year old Barry Harder, who had inquired about a vehicle online called the dealership and threatened to come with an AK-47 and “shoot up the business”. Police spoke with Mr. Harder who admitted tot eh threat, but stated he was upset about a salesman calling him over and over after he made clear he was not interested in the vehicle. Harder was advised by police that he not make any further contact with the dealership and if he made any more threats, he would be charged.
