Man Walks In Traffic In Morristown
Sunday morning, motorists on Buffalo Trail in Morristown had a dangerous situation to deal with…a man walking out in front of cars. Police responded to the area and found a male subject idenrtified later as 52 year old Anthony Kesterson of Mosheim walking towards a car traveling on the roadway. Kesterson was ordered off the roadway, but ignored officers’ commands and would not get out of the roadway. Kesterson appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and began running away from the responding officer. More officers were called to the scene and after a foot chase across several roadways, Kesterson stumbled and fell. Police attempted to subdue him but he continued to fight. Officers were forced to spray a chemical agent in his face and were then able to get him into custody. Kesterson was taken to the Morristown Hamblen ER for evaluation before being charged with public intoxication and resisting.
