Middle Tennessee Company Opening Operation In Hamblen County
A Tennessee company is expanding its operations and that is good news for East Tennessee. Summertown Metals, which has operations in Summertown and Hohenwald, has announced they are opening a $22.6 million facility in Morristown. That will lead to the creation of 170 jobs. The facility will be in the Lowland area of Morristown, which is just across the Cocke County line in Hamblen County. County Mayor Chris Cutshaw says The site chosen is adjacent to the interstate and also part of the redevelopment of the Lowland area which makes it a great fit for everyone.
Summertown Metals provides high-quality metal building solutions for pole barns and barndominiums. They also have facilities in Hayden, AL, and Hopkinsville, KY. The Morristown facility will be a metal roll forming, steel and wood truss manufacturing, and distribution facility.
