Missing child Found In Carson Springs Area
Emergency responders descended on the Carson Springs area yesterday afternoon…they were looking for a missing child. All volunteer fire departments in the county sent help…in fact according to Cocke County Emergency Management Director Joe Esway, within 10 minutes of the call going out, there were 40 emergency responders from around the county at the Edgemont School which was set up as a command post…with 40 more on the way. Within a short period of time, members of the Grassy Fork Volunteer Fire Department had located the missing child and according to Esway, the child was returned home safely…unharmed. Director Esway praised the response of the six Volunteer Fire Departments that operate in Cocke County.
