More Vols Selected On MLB Draft Second Day
On Sunday, four Tennessee Vols were selected in the first two rounds of the Major League Baseball Draft. The night was highlighted by second baseman Christian Moore going #8 overall to the Los Angeles Angels. The others selected Sunday night were Blake Burke 34th overall to the Milwaukee Brewers; Third Baseman Billy Amick went 60th to the Minnesota Twins and Dylan Dreiling was the 65th pick of the draft Sunday night selected by the Texas Rangers.
Yesterday was day two of the draft and more Vols were selected. In the third round, picked at 76th overall was pitcher Drew Beam who was selected by the Kansas City Royals. It wasn’t till the fifth round that more Vols were taken. Kavares Tears was selected with the 134th pick by the San Diego Padres; AJ Causey will join Drew Beam in Kansas City as he was taken by the Royals with pick #138.
In the eighth round, the Chicago White Sox drafted pitcher Aaron Combs with the 229th pick of the draft. The final day of the draft with rounds 10-20 happens today.
