Morristown East-West Graduation Ceremonies Traffic Pattern Announced
This Friday is graduation day for both highschools in Morristown. Graduation ceremonies will be held at the Walters State Expo Center in White Pine for both Morristown East and Morristown West schools. Those graduation ceremonies will be held this Friday, and that is going to effect traffic on Hwy 25E in that area. Morristown-Hamblen West High will graduate first; doors open at 2:30pm with the ceremony starting at 4. Morristown-Hamblen East will then follow. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the ceremony begins at 8:30. The traffic pattern to get into Morristown West’s graduation…traffic on southbound 25E will see message boards directing them; traffic for the graduation will need to stay in the right lane. After the Morristown West graduation all exiting traffic from parking lot 1 will exit eastbound on Agricultural Park Boulevard onto US Hwy 25E northbound only. Vehicles exiting from parking lot 2, will be directed out onto Witt Road towards Progress Parkway only. Traffic for Morristown East’s graduation will enter from southbound 25E only. Attendees will see message boards directing them. Witt Road will be closed for incoming traffic to the Expo Center. East High graduates driving to the ceremony should have an identifying card or paper on their dash; this will identify them as graduates and they will be directed by officers where to park beginning at 7:00pm. After the Morristown East graduation ceremony, all exiting traffic may exit either towards Progress Parkway or Agricultural Park Boulevard.
