Morristown Man Threatens Police
Morristown police were called to a residence on E. North 4th Street about an unresponsive man…but he didn’t stay unresponsive for long. The man was 32 year old Travis Williford who did finally wake on his own upon arrival by EMS. Police found that Williford who did not want medical attention, was found to have an outstanding warrant in Jefferson County. When police attempted to place him into custody, Williford charged at a police officer and a struggle ensued with Williford finally detained. Williford was taken to the Morristown Hamblen ER to be cleared medically. It was there Williford stated that he would kill the officers in the room. He also threatened to blow up every car at city hall. Williford was cleared by medical staff and transported to the Hamblen County Jail where he was charged with Resisting Arrest and Intimidation.
