Morristown Police Looking For Road Rage Vehicle
Morristown police are on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a road rage incident where a gunshot was involved. Zachary Jarnigan of Morristown told police he was sitting at the red light on Progress Blvd. at Hwy 25E. When the light turned green, he turned north onto Hwy 25E, but a reddish/maroon colored older model Honda sedan ran the red light and Jarnigan said he had to brake to keep from having a collision. Jarnigan told officers that he honked his horn and then got into the right hand lane. He stated at that time the red Honda pulled up even with him in the left lane and a gun was pointed out the window. Jarnigan stated he slammed on his brakes at the same time he heard a shot. The bullet struck the hood of his vehicle doing damage to the battery and fuse box. A female passenger in Jarnigan’s vehicle told police the same story. Both Jarnigan and his passenger descried the Honda as having red and lack paint across where the license plat is located. The vehicle also has a dent in the passenger front fender and is missing part of the rear bumper. If you see that vehicle or know the owner, you should call the Morristown police department.
