Morristown Police Respond To Shots Fired

Morristown police were contacted Monday afternoon about shots being fired in a neighborhood during the early morning hours on Memorial Dy. Residents near the intersection of Hillvale Road and Joe Hall Road told police that a black SUV had stopped at that intersection and began shooting as they went westbound up Hillvale Road. One witness said the same vehicle made another pass through that area firing shots. A camera located on one of the homes caught video of the incident. A total of 15 casings were recovered 12 on the roadside and 3 more that a resident had recovered from in front of their home. Police are investigating that incident which makes the third drive by type shooting to happen in Morristown in the last couple weeks.
