Nearly Year Long Investigation Culminates With 14 Arrests In Sevier County
A nearly year long investigation in Sevier County has resulted in the arrest of fourteen individiuals. The investigation, known as Operation No Good Time, began in July of 2024. It focused on the conspiracy to deliver or attempt to introduce contraband into the Sevier County Correctional Complexes. Detectives worked with Jail Administration and Correctional Staff, utilizing communications and other investigative techniques to obtain evidence. Investigators soon determined that multiple individuals were involved in various methods of introducing controlled substances into the jail.
A Sevier County Grand Jury recently returned indictments on a total of twenty individuals for charges of Conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility and Conspiracy to sale/deliver Schedule III narcotics. Fourteen of the twenty individuals indicted were arrested on Wednesday. Sevier County Sheriff Michael Hodges says his department is committed to keeping drugs from entering their facility.
