New Law Benefits Food Truck Vendors
Governor Bill Lee has signed a bill into law that is going to make it easier for those who operate food trucks. You see them in quite a few places in Newport and Cocke County selling everything from bar-b-cue to pizza to tacos to donuts. The bill that was signed into law by the governor last week creates a “gold standard” state permit that will allow the food trucks to bypass individual municipal inspections. One of the hassles of operating a mobile food truck is that the operators have to acquire permits for each county or city they operate in…which can get quite costly. This new law will allow those food truck vendors to save a little money on their overhead and concentrate more on their customers.
