Newport Police Called To Newport Medical Center

Newport police had to be called to the Newport Medical Center late Wednesday due to an aggressive female subject in the ER. Hospital staff told police that 26 year old Nina Williams became aggressive toward the staff and began spitting on them. Police officer Justin Shelton felt her wrath as he went to place her under arrest she hit him in the face with her elbow and actually bit another officer on the hand. At that point Williams was forcefully restrained and arrested for disorderly conduct, assault and resisting arrest…when she arrived at the Cocke County Jail…jail staff were forced to retrain her as well due to her aggressive behavior
