Newport Police Investigate Home Break-In

Newport police are investigating a break-in at a home on Buda Road. The property Owner, George Allen, stated he went to the property on Monday, which he had been renovating. When he entered the home, he was met y a black male and white female. When he confronted them, the two fled on foot in different directions. Inside, he found that an air compressor, multiple tool sets, and a propane space heater with four propane tanks were missing. He also found that a large section of new carpet in one of the bedrooms had been removed as well. There was also damage to the main door frame that Allen stated was from it being forced open. A Little Ceasar’s pizza ox helped in the investigation of who the pair might be. The lack male is suspected to e 31 year old Timothy Maloney and the female is suspected to e Maloney’s girlfriend, 24 year old Sierra Jones. The value of the missing items from the home is over $2,500.
