Newport Police Investigating Home Burglary
Newport police are investigating a home burglary on Seabrook Street. The property owner stated that he was renovating the home, and was there on Sunday and nothing was out of place. When he returned on Tuesday, he found that a piece of plywood that was covering a window downstairs had been removed and the side door was open. The owner deduced that the suspect entered through the window and then left the home through the now open door. A set of china and a coo-coo clock were missing along with numerous tools. Those included a Milwaukee drill with charger and battery; Largo Kobalt Shop Vac; Kobalt table saw and a Dewalt Sheetrock screw gun. The owner could not place a complete value on the items taken. Police have no suspects in that home burglary.
