Newport Police Looking For Auto Theft Suspect

Newport police are on the lookout for a suspect who stole a vehicle out of the Food City West parking lot Monday. Police have posted the picture of a person of interest in that theft on the Newport Police Department’s Facebook page. That individual is suspected in being involved in the theft of a green 1998 Jeep Wrangler. A black 2 door Mercedes with what appears to be gold/bronze colored wheels was operated by that person of interest.
