Newport Police Respond To Man In Road

Monday Newport police had been notified of a man standing out in the middle of the roadway and various locations. An officer finally made contact with the man as he was standing out in the middle of McCabe Avenue. The man was identified as Michael Beasley. He would not respond verbally to orders to get out of the middle of the road…each time just shaking his head no. Beasley consented to being taken to the Newport Medical Center for evaluation and was taken to the hospital without incident.
