Newport Speedway Hosting First Event In Seven Years

This Saturday, after a seven year wait, the Newport Speedway will have its first event with the Over Mountain Rally. Racers from around the world will be taking on the woods and back roads of Cherokee National Forest for a 100 mile race this weekend in the Overmountain Raceway Tennessee. On Saturday, many of the drivers taking part will be on hand at Newport Speedway for a meet and greet and give you the ability to see the rally cars up close before those drivers have some pursuit races around the track. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for those 12 years of age and younger.

Newport Speedway has announced their first official racing event will take place in October. The Southeast Super Truck Series and the Southeast Late Model Series will come to Newport Speedway.
