Nightly Lane Closures On I-40 Possible In Cocke County

Be alert for road construction happening on Interstate 40 in Cocke County over the weekend and the first of next week. Crews will be doing clearing and some resurfacing work on I-40 between mile markers 429 & 436. You can expect some traffic slow downs and delays in that area of the interstate over the next few days. TDOT says there could be temporary lane closures nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

On Monday between 9am & 6pm crews will be doing some maintenance work on I-40 in Jefferson County between mile markers 409 & 413. TDOT is asking motorists to be aware and watch for crews on the interstate during the day on Monday.
