One Dead In East Parkway Crash
One person died in an accident that shut down Hwy 321 in Sevier County Friday morning (6/27). According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 43 year old Thomas Largent was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra eastbound when he crossed the center line and ran head on into a Kenworth commercial vehicle. Largent was killed in the crash as both vehicles came to a rest in the south ditch of the highway. The accident happened near the Smoky Bear Campground and RV Park, which is about a mile from the Cocke County line. The highway patrol says that the driver of the Kenworth was not injured in that crash. Hwy 321, or East Parkway, was closed for six hours while that accident scene was cleared.
