One Injured In Four Vehicle Accident On Cosby Hwy

One person was injured in a four vehicle accident in Cosby Wednesday evening (5/21). According to a preliminary report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 63 year old Douglas Stuart was driving a Chevy Silverado pickup on Cosby Hwy when he failed to negotiate a curve near Limestone Way and crossed the center line. Stuart’s pickup then struck a Ford F-150 pickup and a Suburu Crosstrek. The driver of the Ford F-150, Tyler Norton, in an effort to avoid the accident, struck a Kia Sorrento. The driver of the Kia was injured in the crash. No others were injured in that crash, which caused Cosby Hwy to be shut down in that area while the accident scene was cleared. Douglas Stuart was cited by the Highway Patrol for Failure To Use Due Care.
