Operation Friday The 13th
Eleven people are now in custody after what the Cocke County Sheriff’s office called “Operation Friday, The 13th”…which was executed on Friday the 13th. The undercover operation has resulted in charges of 14 counts of sale and delivery of fentanyl; 11 counts of sale and delivery of heroin; 3 counts of sale and delivery of cocaine; 24 counts of sale and delivery of methamphetamine; and 9 counts of sale and delivery of a controlled substance. A total of 25 defendants have been indicted overall and the eleven that were served with the indictments Friday are…Dalton Fox, Eric Ballard, Gary Cody, Crystal VanDaley, Joseph Todd Turner, Roger Dale Sigler, Derrick Stanley Neely, Donald Edward McCoy, Bobby Ray Lewis, Meghann Hill and Allison Hild-Daniels. The defendants range in age from 27 years of age to 56. The other fourteen listed in the indictment were not found during the operation on Friday, but Sheriff CJ Ball says when they are apprehended, their names will be released as well. Ball says that Operation Friday the 13th was a joint effort between the Cocked County Sheriff’s department, Newport Police, the TBI, Tennessee Highway Patrol, the ATF and the Drug Enforcement Agency Taskforce.
