Parrottsville Ruritan Honors CCSO Detective
The Parrottsville Ruritan Club has honored a Cocke County Detective with their Officer of the Year award. Last week, the club bestowed that award on Detective Katrina Baldwin. She has been with the Cocke County Sheriff’s office since being hired last year through the Violent Crime Intervention Grant provided by the state of Tennessee. Sheriff CJ Ball says that for nearly 25 years, the sheriff’s office worked with just four detectives, so adding a fifth has been a great help to the department. Detective Baldwin and her fellow detectives investigate over 500 cases per year. Those cases can run the gamut from misdemeanors all the way up to homicide. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office thanks the Parrottsville Ruritan for giving the Officer of the Year award each year and congratulates Detective Katrina Baldwin for getting that honor this year.
