Pipeline Back Online
That Colonial Pipeline that suddenly became very popular this week after that cyberattack last wekeend…is now back online…and the fuel is flowing again. However they caution that it will be a while longer before things get back to normal. It can take up to 15 days for refineries to get the petro…and then the trucks have to get it to us…so it will be at least a couple more weeks before things start returning to some sense of normal.
Tennessee has not been as hard hit as other states in the southeast though…North Carolina has reported that 70% of stations in that state are out of gas….and around 50% are out in South Carolina.
Gas concerns don’t seem to be hurting tourism in the area as Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg have not had many cancellations.
The gas crunch has led to officials warning against panic buying to really prevent shortages from happening…things got so bad that the US Consumer Product Safety Commission had to put out a warning to not dispense gasoline into plastic bags!
Hang in there…there is a light at the end of the tunnel with the gas situation.
