Police Looking for 18 Year Old Fugitive
Police in East Tennessee are still on the lookout for a young man who is now a fugitive from the law. Mekiah Davis is 18 years old…he left a Dandridge juvenile center on January 20th, but cut his ankle monitor off. He was involved in a police chase in Hamblen County that wound up in a crash. Davis is still at large and according to East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers should be considered dangerous. Back when he was 15, Davis stole a pickup truck and then crashed into a vehicle driven by a pastor and his wife. Both of those individuals were killed in that crash. Crime Stoppers says that less than 48 hours after Davis’ release from the facility in Dandridge he had a car, a large amount of cash, drugs and a weapon. He is facing 14 charges in Hamblen County including reckless endangerment and illegally having a weapon.
