Police Respond To Crash At Walgreen’s

Police respond to an accident at the Walgreen’s in Newport Tuesday evening. According to police and witnesses, two vehicles, a Dodge Caravan and a Chevy Blazer were sitting in line at the drive thru at Walgreen’s, when a Chevy Silverado pickup driven by 56 year old Burnis Hodgson drove forcefully in-between the two other vehicles, pinning all three together. Hodgson was found to be driving under the influence of a substance suspected to be marijuana. Hodgson was also driving on a revoked license due to a DUI in 2018. He was arrested and charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license. All three vehicles suffered damage. The two other vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
