Police Respond To Medical Emergency
Police responded to a call on New Cave Church Road, a man called 911 and would only say his girlfriend was sick then hung up the phone and would not answer further calls. When Cocke County deputy Alison Brooks arrived, EMS was on scene treating 32 year old Crystal Allyson of Cosby. The boyfriend 34 year old Steven Huff of Cosby stated that Allyson was driving on New Cave Church Road when she became ill, experiencing overdose symptoms. Huff administered two vials of Narcan which made Allyson even more ill. Huff admitted to the deputy that both he and Allyson were on Methadone. Allyson was transported to the Newport Medical Center. A short time later deputy Brooks spotted Huff flagging her down on New Cave Church Road saying he was feeling ill and requesting transport to the hospital. He admitted to deputy Brooks that he and Crystal Allyson had done heroin about 3 hours earlier.
