Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect

The Cocke County Sheriff’s department is on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect that struck in Del Rio. Police say Friday night at 9:30, a black male subject walked into a business in Del Rio armed with a semi-automatic pistol and demanded cash. The suspect got away with over $1,000. He was seen fleeing the scene in a red or maroon colored hatchback or large sedan. That suspect was thought to be heading towards Newport on Hwy 25/70. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is asking that anyone with information call 423-623-6004.
