Response Of Maybe Leads To Arrest
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office charged a man with selling drugs after he was spotted driving erratically. This happened earlier this week on State Route 73 when a vehicle was observed crossing double yellow lines and splitting curves taking up both lanes of travel. 40 year old Earl Malone was pulled over and found to be driving on a revoked license. When asked if he had anything illegal in the vehicle, he at first said no, then said well…maybe.
That “maybe” response resulted in a probabale cause search of the vehicle and deputies located a black zip up bag with approximately 10.18 grams of suspected Methamphetamine along with several blue small baggies and digital scales, commonly used for the sale and delivery of illegal narctoics. When asked if he sold or used, Malone admitted that he mainly sold the illegal drug, but did use a little.
Malone was then charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent To Sell.
