Sevierville SWAT Conducts Raids
The Sevierville police department SWAT team along with other law enforcement personnel conducted a coordinated raid on three different locations simultaneously last Friday night. That resulted in the arrests of eleven individuals on drug charges. In a pre-planned operation search warrants were executed at 129 North Parkway, 112 King Street, and an apartment at 101 Pigeon Street. Law enforcement officials had become aware of considerable drug activity that was being conducted in a coordinated manner at those locations. According to police, seven drug overdoses, four of which resulted in death, have occurred at the King Street and North Parkway locations since August 2021. In just one recent 24-hour period there were two overdose deaths in those locations. Eight of the individuals were from Sevierville…one from Pigeon Forge, Seymour and Lenoir City. Most were charged with manufacture, sale and delivery of meth. Heroin was also seized in those raids.
