Stabbing In Del Rio Sends Man To Hospital
One man is in jail and another in a Knoxville hospital after a stabbing Sunday morning in the Del Rio area. A man called police stating that a man had shown up at his camper with a stab wound under his left chest area. Deputies arrived and found 46 year old David Seymour of Del Rio going in and out of consciousness due to blood loss. Seymour told deputies he had been stabbed by a man in a tent on Old River Road. Deputies investigated and found 36 year old Michael Strange in a tent unrepsonsive. Narcan was administered to him and when he regained consciousness told deputies that Seymor had head butted him and that he had retaliated by stabbing Seymour. A pocket knife was found in Michael Strange’s possession with blood on it. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and is being held on a $15,000 bond. David Seymour was transported to the Newport Medical Center before being transferred to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville where he is now recovering after undergoing surgery Sunday morning.
