TAEP Listening Tour Coming To Knoxville
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) is inviting farmers, agricultural partners and members of the public to participate in what they are calling the Tennessee Agriculture Enhancement Program (TAEP) Listening Tour. This is a series of public meetings designed to gather input on the future of one of the state’s , most impactful agriculture programs. Established in 2005, the TAEP provides cost share dollars to agriculture producers for the purpose of making long-term investments in Tennessee farms and communities. Since its inception over 20 years ago, more than $309 million has been invested in 97,855 projects in the state of Tennessee regarding things like dairy programs, livestock equipment, row crop solutions, plus programs for fruit & vegetable producers and even those with honey bees.
The Department of Agriculture is holding these listening sessions across the state to hear directly from producers and stakeholders about what is working, what could be improved and what opportunities exist for the future. Farmers, agriculture organizations and community members are all encouraged to attend one of the sessions. There will be one in Knoxville, Friday, April 10, 2026
