Tennessee Ranked In Top 5 For Business In the Nation

The state of Tennessee is one of the five best states in the nation for business. That is according to a new study by CNBC. The business network uses criteria and metrics brought about by speaking with businesses in the state plus policy experts and the states themselves. Tennessee received a score of 1,469 out of a possible 2,500 points in the study….ranking the state #5 for business in the United States. The report says that GDP growth in the first quarter of 2021 is at 7.4%, unemployment rate in May was at 5%, with a corporate tax rate of 6.5% and 0 personal income tax all helped in Tennessee’s ranking. Tennessee ranked in the top 10 in rankings like economy, infrastructure, the cost of doing business and cost of living…but the state ranked lower in categories like Technology and Innovation and Life, Health and Inclusion.

The four states that ranked higher than Tennessee for business in the nation were Virginia, North Carolina, Utah and Texas.
