Tennessee Vols 2026 Football Schedule Released
The 2025 college football season is not over yet, as the Vols will play in the Music City Bowl in Nashville on December 30. However, we now know who Tennessee will play next season., The 2026 schedule was released on Thursday and the Vols’ new defensive coordinator will make his regular season debut on September 5 when Tennessee hosts Furman at Neyland Stadium.
Next season adds a new twist to the schedule. 2026 will be the first season where nine conference games will be played. The idea is for each team to play every other SEC team at least once every two years. Tennessee’s SEC opener will be against Texas at home on September 26. It will mark the first ever regular season meeting between the two schools. Other highlights on UT’s schedule include hosting both Auburn and Alabama at Neyland Stadium. This will be the first time that Tennessee has played both the Tigers and the Tide at home in the same season in over 20 years. The Vols get a bye week on October 31. They will welcome Lane Kiffin and LSU to Knoxville on November 21 before wrapping up the regular season at Vanderbilt on November 28.
