Theft Of Catalytic Converters

A man who lives on Hooper Highway in Cosby called the Cocke County Sheriff’s office this week to report the theft of not one but two catalytic converters. The man stated he was gone from his residence for about two weeks. When he returned he spotted cinder blocks underneath his 2004 Honda Element. Upon investigation he discovered that catalytic converter had been cut off that vehicle. He says he also checked his 1993 Honda Accord and the converter had also been removed from that vehicle as well. The cost to replace the catalytic converters he estimated would be around $1500.
