Thieves Strike Tree Trimming Truck

A tree trimming company has become the victim of theft. Wolf Tree Trimming has been working in the Rooster Town Road area of Cocke County. The company had left a truck off the road over the weekend. When workers arrived Monday morning, they found numerous parts of the truck were missing. Foreman Daniel Bright told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that one of his workers found the Pistol Grip for the Controller on the bucket just up the road from the truck on the edge of a creek. Daniel stated that he had made contact with residents on Rooster Town Road but they seemed unwilling to speak to him about the incident. Bright stated that a battery, two hydraulic cylinders, a motor side cover, and two hose reels were stolen from the truck and would cost somewhere in the area of eight to twelve thousand dollars to replace and repair the truck. There are no suspects at this time.
