Thursday Night Altercation Lands One Man In Jail

One man is in jail after an altercation with another man Thursday in Newport. Police were called to a residence about two men fighting, and weapons were involved. 19 year old Kayden Kasinger told police that 28 year old Otis Webb came to the residence to fight him over a sum of money he owed to Webb. Webb came armed with a metal pipe to a floor jack and video footage of the incident showed Webb posed to strike Kasinger with it. Kasinger threw rocks at Webb in an effort to have him drop the pipe. The two men then got into a physical altercation with both men coming out with minor injuries. Webb was determined to be the primary aggressor and was charged with Aggravated Assault and transported to jail. Both were given citations for Disorderly Conduct.
