TOSHA Opens Investigation
The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration has now opened an investigation into the death of a Sevier county lifeguard. 21-year old Colden Riner fell into the pool at the Resort at Governor’s Crossing in Sevierville where he worked as a lifeguard on August 28. TOSHA is now investigating to see if anything at Riner’s workplace contributed to his death, or if a medical condition was a contributing cause. A spokesperson for TOSHA says their investigation could take months, as they have to wait on the official medical examiner’s report before making any determinations.
