Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

A traffic stop led to a drug arrest on Monday in Newport. Police spotted a vehicle going at least 10 miles over the speed limit on West Highway 25/70. The driver was 21 year old Braeden Einfeldt. an order of marijuana was coming from inside his vehicle. Police found 2.1 grams of marijuana and a digital scale. 1.6 grams of methamphetamine was also found in his pocket. Einfeldt was charged with possession of schedule II for the meth and simple possession for the marijuana. A passenger in the vehicle was cited for having illegal drug paraphernalia.
