Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Arrest
A traffic stop netted a large amount of drugs in Cocke County Wednesday. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office says deputies pulled over a gold Honda that was failing to maintain its lane on Cosby Highway. The driver of the vehicle, 52 year old Debra Spence, was driving on a revoked license. Spence was taken into custody for that offense and her vehicle searched. That search revealed 3 bags of suspected methamphetamine, 3 sets of scales and several plastic baggies. The total weight of the bags of meth weighed 30.07 grams. Spence is now facing charges of Sale and Delivery of Schedule II illegal narcotics and Possession of Methamphetamine while Driving.
