TVA Conducting Rolling Blackouts During Extreme Cold

The TVA will be conducting rolling blackouts until further notice due to the extreme cold putting a strain on the electrical grid. Power will go off in 15-minute increments throughout Cocke County and the surrounding areas. This has nothing to do with Newport Utilities, this is coming from the TVA. The Cocke County Emergency Management Agency says that you should prepare accordingly for your power to go out for a 15-minute period while the rolling blackouts are being executed. Hospitals are the only ones that are exempt from these rolling blackouts.
