Two Morristown Officers Assaulted During Arrest

Sunday night police officers in Morristown were assaulted trying to apprehend a suspect. Police had responded Sunday night to a suspicious truck on Crestwood Drive. There were two men one in and outside of the truck. The man outside the truck was 24 year old Terrell Cody of Russellville. Cody ran from officers. One officer caught up to him, but Cody assaulted the officer, who was then assaulted by another officer who Cody also struck in the face. Cody had to be pepper sprayed twice to be brought under control. Police found drug paraphernalia on Terrell Cody…he has been charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault on top of other charges.
