USPS Looking For Seasonal Workers
The recent devastating flood has left some people temporarily unemployed as their businesses were damaged and are currently shut down. For those individuals and anyone who is looking to make extra money, the US Postal Service is getting ready to add extra workers for the upcoming holiday season. Late October through New Years’ Day is the busiest time of the year for the post office. The Postal Service is hosting two in-person job fairs in October. There will be one on October 9 and another on October 30, both of them in Knoxville at 1237 E. Weisgarber Rd. Hours for the job fairs are 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The jobs are for Holiday Clerk Assistant, which is a seasonal part time position that pays $20.48 an hour.
Rural Carrier Associate is a continuous part time job that can lead into a full time position. A personal vehicle may be required.
Asst. Rural Carrier is the last position. It pays $20.38 an hour. For this position, you will have to provide your own transportation. More information about these jobs and others with the post office, go to the website, www.usps.com/careers.
