Wisconsin Man charged With DUI
Sunday morning police observed a 2013 GMC Acadia with Wisconsin plates traveling at a high speed on Hwy 25-70 westbound. The vehicle was clocked on radar doing 105 mph in a 50 mph zone. Newport police stopped that vehicle near the Clayton Homes location. 35 year old Nicholas Mosay was the driver who threw the vehicle’s keys out the window then disobeyed commands to stay in the vehicle. Mosay was under the influence of alcohol and actually fell asleep shortly after being placed in the patrol car. Police found a near empty bottle of Vodka, moonshine, and a near empty can of Twisted Tea. Mosay was taken to the Cocke County Jail annex charged with DUI…police learned he had a previous DUI conviction in Wisconsin.
