Woman Armed With Skillet Arrested
Cocke County deputies Bryce Pickens and Blake Cupp responded to a wild call on Sunday morning of a woman beating on the door of a home armed with a…skillet…
By the time Deputies arrived at the home on McCowan Creek Road, screams could be heard coming from inside. When deputies entered the home they found 60 year old Earl Garrison holding down 51 year old Carole Gosa. Garrison said that he and Gosa had been fighting and she became violent. He was able to lock himself in the house to protect himself, but she grabbed the iron skillet and began banging on the door…eventually breaking a window to gain entry…he then said she looked like she was trying to hide a weapon he thought was a knife, so he took her to the floor and held her down till help arrived…deputies did notice a knife lying on the floor nearby.
When deputies tried to take Gosa into custody, she began fighting and banging her head against a coffee table…Gosa continued to resist arrest all the way out to the patrol car…making for quite the adventure for deputies. Gosa was suspected to be heavily under the influence of narcotics and even had to be restrained when they got her to the Cocke County Jail Annex….Gosa has been charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Disorderly Conduct and of course…Resisting arrest.
