Woman Arrested For Misuse Of 911

A Cocke County woman was arrested last week after calling 911 three different times saying that someone was outside hew house trying to harm her. 46 year old Stephanie Phillips told deputies the first two times they came out that a man was running around outside her home and was trying to harm her. Each time, responding deputies found no one outside the home on Old Hwy 411. The third time, Phillips made contact with deputies from the window of her bathroom. she stated that is she left the bathroom, people inside her home would attack her. A deputy pointed out that they could not enter to check her home because her front door was locked and she would have to leave the bathroom to unlock it. Phillips, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics each time, finally unlocked the door. Deputies found no one inside. Phillips was arrested and charged with misuse of 911.
