Woman Arrested In Morristown For Running Drugs
Police in Morristown made a drug arrest of a woman who was running drugs. Police were dispatched to the Fastop on Thoroughbred Run about a woman passed out behind the wheel of a car. The driver was identified as 37 year old Katherine Womack of Knoxville. The officer immediately noticed a black substance around the Womack’s nostrils. Womack denied the officer’s request to search the vehicle, but did give him permission to retrieve her drivers’ license from a small change purse. In that purse the officer saw a cut straw and meth pipe giving him probable cause to search the vehicle. Over 32 grams of meth was found inside as well as 3.8 grams of heroin and 50 1/2 alprazolam pills. Womack admitted to buying then selling the drugs and was taking the drugs to Knoxville. She has been arrested and charged with possession, sale and delivery of schedule I, II and IV narcotics.
