Woman Charged After Road Rage Incident
A Morristown woman was arrested in Cocke County Wednesday after a case of road rage. Chelsey Bradley of Newport told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that she was driving south on US 25E with her daughter, when a gray Toyota Camry sped past her. Bradley stated that when she pulled up to the construction stoplight, the driver of the Camry got out and came back to her car, sporting a handgun. Bradley stated the driver of the Camry, 20 year old Abigail Hurley made a threatening comment before getting back in her vehicle. Hurley was found at her place of employment in Newport. She admitted to the incident and told police nthey could find the gun in the car’s glovebox. A Glock 19 9mm handgun was found in Hurley’s vehicle. 15 rounds were in the nmagazine, but a rounhd was not loaded into the chamber. Hurley has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
