Woman Crushed Between Truck & Loading Dock

A 19 year old woman was injured earlier this week when she was caught between a loading dock and a truck. The accident happened at the Ole Smokey Distillery warehouse in Newport. Kristopher Kreger stated that he was backing a truck up to the loading dock when he looked in the backup mirror and saw Kirra Knott motioning him to come back farther. When he looked again she was gone. Kreger stated he found Knott crashed between the loading dock and the truck. Kirra Knott was able to tell first responders that she had been in the back of the box truck when the dock flap fell from the truck and she jumped down to raise it back up when she became pinned between the truck and the dock. Knott was airlifted to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville with serious injuries. We do not have an update on her condition.
