Woman Removes Campaign Signs From Neighbors Property
‘Tis the season. A woman called the Cocke County Sherriff’s department to complain that her neighbor has been coming onto her property and taking her campaign signs. Brenda Sue Koch told deputy Miranda Williams that Mary Greene has taken multiple campaign signs from her property…and that she placed a trail camera up which captured Greene in the act of taking the sign. Mary Greene was contacted by phone and admitted she went onto Koch’s property to remove the signs, because they were ruining the property value.
Greene was unpleasant and rude while on the phone with the deputy, but did acknowledge that she was not allowed to come onto Brenda Koch’s property and remove any campaign signs, otherwise she could be charged. Koch later called Deputy Williams to state that Mary Greene had told the mailman that he could no longer deliver the mail to Koch’s residence as that was a shared drive. 76 year old Mary Greene has been charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
